Some of our public area’s but also some commercial area’s have chosen to only install an information sign that points the user to the registration and payment flow. Experience shows that visitors pay just like they would pay for street parking. They know they need to pay and they know that verfication is possible.

The infopanel and the camprea app also supports correct behavior by providing clear information and a fluid registration and payment flow.

Camprea includes standard a specific screen for mobile or tablet access for use by law enforcers or by camper area staff. On this screen they can in a glimpse see which vehicles have correctly registered and paid.

Experience shows that almost all users of a camper area pay. In very rare occasions it might be necessary to remind somebody that “forgot” to pay.

Our access controller system is very easy to install and connects any barrier or gate. The access controller also connects up to 2 code keypads. There are several ways to open the gate:

  • You or your staff can open the gate remotely
  • If you use our helpdesk and you allow it, the helpdesk can also remotely open the gate
  • Guests can open the gate with a button in the Camprea app during their stay
  • Guests can also open the gate by entering their individual code. This code will only work during their stay.
  • Permanent codes can be issued for use by you or your staff
  • Long term codes can be issued for long-term customers or seasonal pitches
  • Optionally, the keypads can be configured to also accept NCF cards (badges) on top of the above

The same controller can also be used to secure access to specific services

Think of a sanitary building, a waste container or a separate part of the camper area.

With Camprea you can allow camper travelers to enter your site only for charging fresh water and discharging grey and/or black water. You define the price and the time they get for servicing (for example 1 hour).

Automate electricity

To automate electricity you can either use one of our pre-configured and tested all-in one distribution boxes with 4 power outlets per distribution box They exist in 10A or 16A versions, and it is possible to limit the power via software parameters. The box is entirely configured including differential circuit breakers and contactors.

Alternatively, our controllers can also be installed in existing distribution panels. The controller fits on a standard din-rail. The width is 3 din-rail units for 4 channels and 1 din-rail unit for 2 channels.

Each distribution box will also carry a QR-code. Customers wanting electricity scan the QR-code, then choose which outlet they want to use and pay for example for 8 hours or 24 hours, as defined by you.

The system can deal with unstable networks. At the moment a customer chooses a certain power outlet, the system will first check if this outlet is available before allowing the customer to pay. Once initiated, the controller will autonomously shut off the power when the time has expired.

A free public camper area or parking

Free public camper areas and camper parkings use Camprea’s solution for several reasons:

  • To improve the image of the city or commune and stimulate local economy by providing information via the app to registered users. This can be static information, like regulations or more dynamic information about the local market, events and so on. It is also possible to integrate discount vouchers.
  • In some countries, to comply with legal obligations to register overnight visitors
  • To get information and statistics about the use of the area
  • To obtain respect for the environment and for the rules about discharging waste and wastewater by providing clear information.
  • To have an emergency communication channel to area guests, for example to notify people in case of an evacuation.
  • To improve the objective and subjective safety on a free camper area

Many free public areas struggle with the challenges of such an area. The economic benefits are difficult to measure and to prove, while there are often problems with long-stayers or other incidents. Some authorities consider making the area paid, but that involves other investments and is not always the desired solution. Some authorities just want a way that tolerates the area as much as possible but still provides them with the means to inform visitors and to nudge behavior when it comes to waste and respect for the environment.

Using Camprea on a free camper parking or camper area is a low-cost solution that only requires an information panel on the site. It is an extremely simple measure that drastically improves the behavior, provides detailed data and allows promoting the local economy.

Easy reservation and payment in advance for your customers

If you allow this setting, customers can make a reservation and pay in advance

Via a unique link that you can integrate on your website or publish on Park4Night, Campercontact or Facebook, customers enter your reservation page.

They choose an available time slot, enter their data and pay.

In your management overview you see the list of reservations and availability for any given period. You can also cancel reservations, contact the customer and so on.

With this setting, you can oblige customers to complete their registration with additional data, as per your local legislation.

It is important to note that the system allows them to complete this information after they have paid and settled in. That approach ensures that the check-in is fast and smooth and that there are no queues at the entrance.

Once being properly installed, customers can complete their registration details in tranquility.

You get a notification and overview in you dashboard of customers that have completed their data registration.

This data can then be transmitted or exported to the authorites or serve for any periodical reports that you might need to submit.
